<\/a>Tomorrow, Friday 19 September, a park that will be a new landmark for Glyfada opens! At the end of Gounari, next to the tennis courts, in the area of Aixoni, a new small miracle has been created ! <\/p>\n\n

“We are proud to present our new park in Aixoni!<\/p>\n\n

What does a city need today?<\/p>\n\n

Parks. Green. Breaths. Dew. Oxygen. Places for children to play safely, for young people to play sports, for older people to spend their leisure time”, stresses the Mayor of Glyfada George Papanikolaou. <\/p>\n\n

He adds:<\/p>\n\n

“We built something more in Ano Glyfada:<\/p>\n\n

A new landmark for our city.<\/p>\n\n

Which opens its gates on Friday for everyone!<\/p>\n\n

In the area of Aixoni, at the end of Gounari, next to the tennis courts, there was an area of more than ten acres. Unused. <\/p>\n\n

It took a lot of effort and methodical work to be used, to be a redevelopment with the highest standards of aesthetics, safety and functionality.<\/p>\n\n

To become a brand new infrastructure, on a large scale.<\/p>\n\n

We did it! And we are very proud of it. <\/p>\n\n

Green everywhere, a lush space (we added thousands of new plants and large trees to the existing pine trees).<\/p>\n\n

Tennis courts for children.<\/p>\n\n

Small football field.<\/p>\n\n

Areas for play and sports. Pumptrack for bikes and skateboards. <\/p>\n\n

Walking routes.<\/p>\n\n

Gym equipment for older people. Children’s playground. <\/p>\n\n

“Smart” benches and recreational areas.<\/p>\n\n

Lighting with photovoltaics.<\/p>\n\n

And several other innovations that are worth seeing in person.<\/p>\n\n

In the new park of Aixoni everyone can now find what suits them for their leisure time and play and enjoy as much and as much as they want.<\/p>\n\n

A new sports and recreation facility, funded by our City’s resources and a portion from the Green Fund.<\/p>\n\n

It was worth all the effort and effort it took to complete this project.<\/p>\n\n

Most of us want our children to wean themselves off their phones, TVs and tablets and get out with their friends, company or family.<\/p>\n\n

In Glyfada we give us another opportunity, another way out, another possibility, to make this a reality.<\/p>\n\n

Come and make the most of it and enjoy it!<\/p>\n\n

We are particularly grateful to the company LANDCO and the head of the project, Theophilos Matsoukas, who carried out the largest part of the project.<\/p>\n\n

The company Heliachtida and the head Antonis Papakyriakis.<\/p>\n\n

The company ZITAKAT and its head Dionysis Zafeiropoulos.<\/p>\n\n

We thank the dozens of employees of the Municipality of Glyfada and the executives of our municipal authority for their tremendous effort.<\/p>\n\n
