Lavrentis Machairitsas was one of the most important Greek artists, who left an indelible mark on the Greek music scene. He founded Greek Rock with Termites, was one of the main representatives of the generation of songwriters of the 90s, was loved by the public like few artists and his songs have never stopped being heard and played on radio and in concerts. The songs “Didymoteicho blues”, “How much I want you”, “And what I ask”, “There in the South”, “A Turk in Paris”, “Pocket teratakia”, “Come on my little soul” and “Little Titanic” and many more are now considered classics in their genre.
After the huge success of last year’s sold out concert at the Lycabettus Theatre and this year’s concert at the Veakeio
Theatre of Piraeus, he comes in July to the 3rd Marina of Glyfada, on Sunday 27 July, with Dionysis
Tsaknis, Yannis Zouganelis, Christos Thivaeos, Mirella Pachou and Steve Tesser, beloved performers and
companions of Lavrentis, to honour together our beloved Lavrentis Machairitsas, the
interpreter of hits, sensitivity and humanity, who melodically and wonderfully sealed our
sounds.
