NOTICE CONCERNING THE OPERATION OF THE FARMERS’ MARKET HELD EVERY THURSDAY

We would like to inform you, following previous announcements and the relevant decisions that have now been taken, that the People’s Market that takes place in Glyfada every Thursday, this Thursday, June 26, 2025, will operate in its new location.

This change is due to the commencement of work on the large project for the construction of a car park on the land enclosed by N. Zerva, Cyprus and Alsos streets.

New Operating Location

The People’s Market will take place in its new location, that is:

* On the coastal road Diadochou Pavlos, from the height of Saki Karagiorgas Street to Aura Street (at the point where the tram turns).

* It will also include part of the intermediate common area.

Important information for your convenience

Our Municipality is in constant communication with the relevant bodies in order to ensure the safe and uninterrupted service to all:

The visitors of the People’s Market, its employees, the passengers of public transport passing through the wider area, as well as the residents and visitors of the area.

In particular, we inform you of the following:

A) Parking of Visitor Vehicles

In order to better serve visitors and facilitate traffic in the surrounding streets, every Thursday, during the opening hours of the People’s Market:

* Visitors will be able to park free of charge at Glyfada Marina C’.

* Our Municipality’s staff and the Municipal Police will be constantly on site to facilitate visitors.

B) Operation of Bus Lines (Only for every Thursday from 06:00 to 18:00)

Following cooperation with OASA S.A., bus lines 120, 124, 128 and 205 are partially modified, while the end of bus line 140 is moved.

In particular, it was decided:

* Temporary partial modification of the route of bus lines 120, 124, 128 and 205 (to Ano Glyfada):

* From Al. Panagoulis, right Sakis Karagiorgas, left Lazarakis, left N. Zervas, then normal.

* Note: A temporary stop for the above lines is established on Lazaraki Street under the name “LAZARAKI (every Thursday during the folk market)”.

* Temporary partial modification of the route of bus line 140:

* A new temporary finish line called “TEMPORARY TERMINAL 140 (every Thursday during the folk market)” is set up on the alley located in the Mayor Angelos Metaxas Avenue (between Lazarakis and Poseidonos).

* Route to the Finish: From Al. Al.

* Route from the Origin: From the Temporary Finish, right Poseidon Avenue, continue as normal.

* Stops that are temporarily abandoned:

* “DIADOCHOU PAULOU”, on Diadochou Pavlou Street.

* Two (2) stops with the name “PL. GLYFADA”, on the side road of Poseidonos Avenue (towards Piraeus) and on Napp. Zerva (between Poseidonos Avenue and Lazaraki).

Facilitation measures and thanks.

We have already arranged for information signs and road arches to be placed at the changeover points.

The Municipal Police and the Civil Protection of our Municipality will ensure that everyone is served and traffic flows smoothly during the opening hours of the Market, especially during the initial adjustment period.
