The Summer Camp of the Municipality of Glyfada starts on Wednesday 17 June. Through a multi-dimensional program, the Summer Camp of the Municipality of Glyfada ideally combines play, sports, new knowledge and creativity, offering children a unique summer experience. From Friday 5 June to Friday 12 June, registrations can be made online at the links at the bottom of this page.Statements by the Mayor of Glyfada George Papanikolaou: “The Municipality of Glyfada’s Summer Camp for 2026 begins! We know how important it is for every family, once schools close, to feel confident that they are leaving their child in a safe environment.In a place where they will be creatively engaged and happy, until the whole family leaves behind their professional obligations. The value of this institution is proven by the fact that every year the places are overfilled, with the participation of more than 1,500 children! So this year, on Wednesday 17 June, the Summer Camp of our Municipality starts for 5 weeks full of fun and play, in schools fully equipped for its activities, which, in addition to other things, have air conditioning and shelters. Through an enriched programme, children will have the opportunity to play, learn new skills and make new friends. This year, our young friends will enjoy educational visits to top museums and parks, while for the first time they will see artists creating live at our city’s Sculpture Symposium. At the same time, the program includes experiential activities for the environment, learning about first aid, meetings with Olympians, puppet theater and endless moments of joy in our green parks, as well as daily training sessions in fields and athletics, along with cool dives in the indoor Municipal Swimming Pool. As every year, children with disabilities participate regularly with the support of special trainers, making inclusion and equal access to all activities a reality. Good summer to our children” The program will take place in selected schools in our city that have air conditioning, shelters and water coolers. – 11th Primary School of Glyfada- 4th Primary School of Glyfada- 3rd Primary School of Glyfada- 2nd Primary School of Glyfada – 1st Kindergarten of Glyfada- 9th Kindergarten of Glyfada The programme includes a rich menu of educational visits & Activities as well as sports activities.* Culture & Science: Eugenideion Planetarium, Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Centre, “Eco Zoo” Theme Park, Cultural Centre for Art & Culture “Niki Papatheochari” & the “Sculpture Symposium” in Glyfada * Educational Activities : Environment Day, Olympians of our city, “I learn – I care – I watch” program by the Coast Guard, training in First Aid & the Civil Protection of our Municipality, together with the Fire Brigade in an educational action. * Game & Nature: Puppet theatre, magic day, Traffic Education Park, new Aixoni Park, as well as our city’s playgrounds.* Sports: Fields, Multi-sports area of Glyfada (track & field) for their trainings & of course they will enjoy cool dips in the indoor Municipal Swimming Pool.The summer camp is open to children aged 5 to 14 years old (born between 2012 and 2021). Children born in 2021 (preschoolers) will be accommodated at the 1st & 9th Kindergarten of Glyfada. It also goes without saying that our children who have a disability are also able to take part in the Summer Camp. We have made sure that all the conditions are in place for them to enjoy it like all children, providing – in addition to other special instructors who will create the necessary conditions for all our children Registration starts from Friday 5 June and ends on Friday 12 June. They can be made online at the links below. The cost of participation in the creative activity programme is EUR 80 per child. Payments will be made on Thursday 18/6 at the school chosen by each child.
